GREEN BAY, Wis. — Aaron Banks took a step in the right direction on Tuesday after participating in team drills for the first time in training camp.

That doesn’t mean the Green Bay Packers’ left guard from 2025 is guaranteed a starting job in 2026.

Banks, who will turn 29 years old before the start of the regular season, has been hindered by a concerning bout with knee tendinitis since the offseason program. The Packers have erred on the side of caution with how they’ve managed him, deploying him on a day-on, day-off schedule, but he never advanced beyond individual drills until Aug. 18.
