GREEN BAY, Wis. — The legal matter currently unfolding with Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is a sensitive, almost taboo subject for team brass.
General manager Brian Gutekunst can only say so much about Jacobs, who was placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List on Aug. 30. That latest development came two days after Jacobs was charged with misdemeanor battery and criminal damage of property for an incident that occurred between him and his then-girlfriend on May 23.
While on the list, Jacobs can’t attend practices or play in games; he’s essentially on a paid leave. Even so, the Packers are still expecting him to play at some point this season.
