GREEN BAY, Wis. — The frightening collision that left Jayden Reed motionless on MetLife Stadium’s turf on Sunday could potentially keep him out for the rest of the season, but the Green Bay Packers are still in the process of gathering information before determining how to proceed.
“It’s way too early for that right now,” LaFleur said of the 27-year-old Reed, who sustained a neck injury following a hit from New York Jets linebacker Demario Davis on the second play from scrimmage. “He’s just got a lot—there’s a lot going on.”
Teammates huddled around Reed—some standing, others on one knee and praying—as medical personnel loaded him onto a backboard and carted him off the field. Later that evening, LaFleur revealed that Reed had movement in all of his extremities and would remain in the city overnight at a nearby hospital.
