GREEN BAY, Wis. — For the second week in a row, the Green Bay Packers are rolling out their starting offensive and defensive lineups in a preseason game.
It could be the last time that Jordan Love and co. see the field in an exhibition contest this summer. Head coach Matt LaFleur said that if all goes well this week against the Denver Broncos, the only work the No. 1 offense will get until the regular season begins will be during the Aug. 26 joint practice with the Arizona Cardinals.
Despite returning to 11-on-11 drills for the first time in training camp on Sunday, last year’s starting left guard Aaron Banks isn’t dressed for Friday night’s bout in Denver. He’s been managing an offseason knee injury and operating on a day-on, day-off schedule. Instead, fifth-round rookie Jager Burton will start in his place. The Packers’ offensive line will be Jordan Morgan at left tackle, Burton at left guard, Sean Rhyan at center, Jacob Monk at right guard, and Anthony Belton at right tackle.

Fourth-round rookie pass rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton also won’t play against the Broncos, despite suiting up for the game and participating in warm-ups. He returned to practice on Tuesday after a week-long battle with what LaFleur called a “heat-related illness.”
