GREEN BAY, Wis. — In Wednesday’s inaugural practice of the summer, Jager Burton didn’t really have much of a chance to take in the sights, the sounds, or bask in the atmosphere of his first training camp.

Instead, the Green Bay Packers’ rookie offensive lineman left the field with a trainer, returned with helmet in hand, and was shelved for the remainder of the session. That remained the case on Thursday, as Burton was held out of practice with what head coach Matt LaFleur described as a hamstring injury.

“He felt something in individual, so we’re just being cautious with him,” LaFleur said at his pre-practice press conference Thursday. “We’ll have a little better idea when he goes through the testing today. He won’t be out there today.”
