GREEN BAY, Wis. — Several starters and key players won’t suit up for the Green Bay Packers in Thursday night’s exhibition opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Head coach Matt LaFleur stuck to his guns. Earlier this week, he said that if a player is healthy, he should expect to play in tonight’s game—and he meant it.
The entirety of the list consists of players who are either injured or currently working their way back from a long-term injury. Players such as Micah Parsons, Zach Bako-Bewele, Devonte Wyatt, and Tucker Kraft, among others, sustained injuries in 2025 that aren’t fully in the rear-view mirror. The others—Javon Bullard, Josh Jacobs, Carrington Valentine, etc.—have missed practices throughout training camp due to recent injuries.
It’ll be a healthy dosage of action for the Packers’ first-team offense and defense tonight in Pittsburgh.
Here’s the full list.
