Shifty Skyy Moore Appears to Have Already Secured a Spot on the Packers' Roster

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Nine different players returned a kick or a punt for the Green Bay Packers last season.
No, seriously. Nine different players.
Savion Williams, Bo Melton, Emanuel Wilson, Nate Hobbs, and Jakobie Keeney-James returned at least two kickoffs. Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden, Keisean Nixon, and Jayden Reed all returned at least two punts. It’s the kind of instability that you really can’t do anything but scoff at.
If the Packers have it their way, those are the days of old. Enter Skyy Moore, who signed a one-year deal worth $2.5 million this past offseason—a relatively inconsequential price to pay if he’s the answer to the woes in their return game. It could be the first time in recent memory that the Packers have a dedicated roster spot for a primary returner.
In fact, general manager Brian Gutekunst appears to have already locked Moore onto the team’s initial 53-man roster without even seeing him in preseason action. The bar is so incredibly low that what Moore has already showcased in the past is good enough in Green Bay.
