GREEN BAY, Wis. — A calf injury could keep defensive tackle Warren Brinson from making the Green Bay Packers’ 53-man roster for the second consecutive season.
Brinson, a sixth-round pick from Georgia last spring, has strung together a fairly impressive slate of practices this summer ahead of his sophomore season in the league. He flashed in the Packers’ Aug. 13 preseason opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, finishing the game with a team-high three pressures in 20 snaps for their No. 2 defense.
He never had the opportunity for an encore.
